It moves noticeably more air than a standard one. Should have tried that sooner. Had to dig through Hayden catalog specs online to figure out what would fit. Now I am happy and cool. I went with the Hayden #2747 heavy duty fan cluth, (1705 being non-thermal and the 2705 being a standard duty clutch) the GM clutch i replaced was in fact a thermal clutch that was way louder than the new Hayden. It started leaking so I replaced it with a Hayden #2797 which they claim is severe duty fan clutch. It was physically smaller, the parts guy assured me it was a severe duty fan clutch.
