Have had it for about 8 months and it’s the best I’ve had in its price range by miles. Awesome setup! If you can find a Marantz amp at a reasonable price, even used, you won't be disappointed. An advantage of this is the machine can be troubleshot and fixed without hunting down specialized components, but some parts can be hard to get.

They are semi-auto tt's, with optical auto shutoff at the end of the record (IIRC the 312 also lifted the arm at shutoff, but not the 212). Webb2 sep. 2015 · I have replaced the power switch on many Philips 212 and 312 turntables. And they look totally stock. The original power switch has a plastic body which disintegrates over time.
